QUAKERS ARE A SOCIALIST CULT. THEY WON'T DISPLAY AMERICA'S FLAG OR HONOR GOD.

Shortly before being fired from my position as Development and Public Relations Director at West Chester Friends School (West Chester, PA), I created the idea of a Cook Book called BEST OF FRIENDS to raise money for student trips to Washington DC and Williamsburg, Virginia.

I contacted many Celebrities and Politicians including Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senators, Rick Santorum and Arlen Specter, who both agreed to provide their favorite recipes for the School’s Cookbook. I also had a very-positive response from Pennsylvania’s Governor. Even Laura Bush who—at the time was America’s First Lady—sent several of her personal recipes.

Every public figure, every politician, every celebrity contacted-- seemed eager to provide recipes and letters of support for the school students’ trip.  Everyone that is--except one.  The ONLY Senator who refused to send a recipe or acknowledge the cookbook’s mission, was the United States Senator from New York—Hillary Clinton.

Yes, I have Hillary’s letter of refusal....clear proof she didn’t support West Chester Friends’ efforts to highly-educate their students. I’m sure you remember when Hillary Clinton wrote a book, “IT TAKES A VILLAGE… TO RAISE A CHILD.” Apparently, Hillary had no plans to live in a Village that allowed children.

From the beginning of my employment at West Chester Friends School (an historic Quaker School)--- I became the talk of the school and everything about me was criticized-- from one end of me to the other.  That's when the woman in the office next to mine decided to initiate a complete “makeover” of me.

One morning, this frump-of-a-woman named Betty walked in my office and placed a stack of clothes on my desk. Several years older and many pounds heavier, Betty remarked that my skirts were too short and my jackets--too tight so-- she was donating some of her personal wardrobe to help me dress properly. It didn’t matter her suits were size sixteen and eighteen....and I wore size ten or twelve.  It didn’t help that her suits were not only huge but also, drab, ugly, and without any style.  Betty had also searched through her makeup drawer to find more-appropriate colors for my lips and cheeks since—in everyone’s opinion—I wore the wrong face color and entirely too-much makeup.  Before leaving my office, Betty suggested her “beautician” could give me a short haircut that would be more “suitable” for a woman my age!  Over time, I realized how truly "helpful" Friends could be…….

And--there was the afternoon the Head of School came upstairs to talk to me about my too-short skirts. Pulling up a chair to face me across my desk, the first thing she said was “There was a time, before I was diagnosed with Lupus, I had great-looking legs. But I never flaunted them; I’ve always dressed appropriately by wearing my skirts long.  In fact, my legs were show-stoppers and people were always complimenting me on my legs. Frankly, my legs were prettier than yours and…not so skinny. But sadly…Lupus robbed me of my pretty legs and my pretty body.

I’m telling you this because, as Quakers, we only want our natural beauty to show. We never focus on our physical attributes or try to draw attention to our bodies in any way.

Since you’ll be representing a Quaker School and Quaker Values, it’s important for you to learn Quaker ways....starting with the appropriate way to dress and publically-present yourself. While you do your homework, I’ll “hold you in the light.”

END OF STORY:  Some of you may understand that--when you accept a job---because you really need a job--- need the money...you do everything you can to keep that job.  I'd just relocated back to America from ten years in China and was living-temporarily-with a friend in Atlanta while job hunting. I had just turned sixty and been out of the American job market for too-long.

When the Quaker school contacted me, I knew I could easy accomplish their goals to raise money, promote the school, and attract more students. BUT,  I wasn't prepared for the Quakers' small and very-closed circle or their very-unamerican and judgmental attitudes.

It's true.  It's almost impossible to find a job when you're unemployed so...when I realized I was in a no-win and abusive situation, I began seriously-searching for a professional position.  I continued to improve the school's fundraising efforts; I improved their status in the community through newspaper, tv, and radio coverage; I established a volunteer program; I reached out to connect with contacts in DC and soon...West Chester Friends School became the ONLY SCHOOL in America that was chosen to virtually-climb Mount Everst with America's Olympic Climbing Team!

When the team visited the school--to present the students with new computers, training, and a schedule for their virtual climb--the students were beyond-excited. Of course the event attracted major media BUT later, after the media and Olympic Team had left....the school board called me into a private meeting where they slapped my hands, ridiculed and scolded me because the team was accompanied by their official security....all dressed in their US military uniforms!

Before leaving West Chester, Pennsylvania, five years later, I won my lawsuit against The West Chester Friends School; I'd kept a detailed journal of their discrimination, harrassment, and professional abuse.  After settling with the lawyers....I walked away with less than sixty thousand dollars but....I felt vindicated.

Never under-estimate Older Southern Women With Class.  When push comes to shove....we can "Kick Ass" with the best of them!
